Trata-se de ritmo de suplência ou de substituição originado na junção AV, com QRS iguais ou ligeiramente diferentes aos de origem sinusal. Pode apresentar-se sem onda P visível ao ECG. Estas “posições” da onda P devem-se às velocidades de condução do estímulo elétrico aos átrios e aos ventrículos. Ao chegar antes aos ventrículos, e depois aos átrios, a onda P fica localizada dentro ou após o complexo QRS.
This is a backup or replacement rhythm originating at the AV junction, with QRS equal to or slightly different from those of sinus origin. It may present without a visible P wave on the ECG. These “positions” of the P wave are due to the speeds at which the electrical stimulus is conducted to the atria and ventricles. As it reaches the ventricles first and then the atria, the P wave is located within or after the QRS complex.
